Amsterdam’s DGTL Festival is set to launch its debut US events this winter, in collaboration with Teksupport. Taking place in New York and Los Angeles, DGTL has locked in WhoMadeWho to headline both events with a live performance. Joining WhoMadeWho at the New York debut on December 1 will be Ida Engberg, AMÉMÉ, Henrik Schwarz and more.
The very next day, on December 2, the Los Angeles DGTL will have Henrik Schwarz, Mano Le Tough, Parallelle and Shubostar play.
Originating in Amsterdam, DGTL has expanded across the world with editions in Barcelona, Madrid, Tel Aviv, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and many more.
The festival’s statement explains: “The US editions’ lineup exemplifies DGTL’s forward-thinking sonic curation, featuring performances by a diverse range of internationally renowned artists including Danish trio WhoMadeWho’s new live show concept.”
Organised in partnership with Teksupport, the double US debut is currently on pre-sale with tickets going live October 25. At this year’s DGTL in its home town of Amsterdam, the line-up saw some of electronic music’s biggest artists, including Honey Dijon, Folamour, VTSS, Eris Drew & Octo Octa, Moderat and The Martinez Brothers.
Last year, DGTL Amsterdam became the world’s “first sustainable circular dance music festival”, working with the city of Amsterdam to implement a “doughnut economy”, whereby resources are not overused and waste is recycled into the system.
It will also continue its DGTL Safe(r) Project, which aims to create positive changes for the festival’s diversity, inclusivity and community programme, using data and feedback collected from last year’s edition.
